Uniform / School Bag Orders

SCHOOL UNIFORM 

 

School Uniform Policy

At Brooklands School, we believe that a simple, comfortable and inclusive uniform helps promote a sense of belonging, supports independence, and reflects our school values. Our uniform is designed to be practical for pupils with a range of physical and sensory needs.

 

Required Uniform Items

These items should be worn daily unless otherwise advised (e.g. themed or mufti days):

  • Maroon sweatshirt or cardigan (branded or plain)
  •  White polo shirt (branded or plain)
  • Grey or black trousers, shorts, skirt, or pinafore
  • Sensible black shoes or trainers (velcro or slip-on preferred for independence)

 

Seasonal Uniform Items

  • Red and white checked summer dress

 

PE Kit

  • Plain white t-shirt 
  • Shorts, leggings or joggers
  • Trainers or plimsolls
  • Draw string bag for PE kit

 

Branded and Generic Items

  • Branded items (with the Brooklands logo) are available but not compulsory.
  • Generic items in the correct colours and styles are perfectly acceptable.
  • Branded school uniform can be ordered from our supplier GM Designs UK Ltd.

Second Hand Uniform

Second hand uniform is available for a voluntary donation.  Please contact the school office if you would like to see if we have the appropriate sizes available or if you would like to donate clean, good-condition uniform.

Book Bags

All children require a Brooklands book bag.  These are available to buy from the school office and cost £3.75.

 

 

Please also note:

  • All clothing should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
  • Staff will support pupils with dressing and undressing as needed.
  • Please speak to your child’s class teacher if you have any concerns about sensory needs or adaptations.
