Kingfisher Class
There are 7 children in Kingfisher Class. We follow the Brooklands blue curriculum which you can read about on the "Blue curriculum" page.
We have a teacher, an LTA and three TAs to help us to learn.
Our daily routines can be seen in our timetable below. We always start the day by using the 'Zones of Regulation' to check in on our feelings. We refer back to these throughout the day.
We complete a daily Read Write Inc phonics lesson each morning. Our second session generally has a Maths or Literacy focus, working on our IPP targets. Within these session, we incorporate a 1:1 activity with an adult, a computer activity and a workstation type activity, following the TEACHH approach. In the afternoons, we focus on the foundation subjects such as Science, PSHE, Art, DT, PE and Geography/History. We also have time in our soft play, sensory room and Library.
PE is on a Friday morning. We have our blue pathway 'Community Time' sessions on a Thursday. Our pathway assembly is on a Friday afternoon.
