Brooklands School

Kingfisher Class

There are 8 children in Kingfisher Class. We follow the Brooklands blue curriculum which you can read about on the "Blue curriculum" page.

We have a teacher, an LTA and three TAs to help us to learn.

Our topic for Autumn term 2021 is : Town and Country
The hooks in this topic are: Exploring the town and country with our senses, Activities you see in the town and country, Stories, Safety.

Our daily routines can be seen in our timetable below. We always start the day by using the 'Zones of Regulation' to check in on our feelings. We refer back to these throughout the day.

We complete a daily Read Write Inc phonics lesson each morning. Our second session is always a Maths or Literacy. In the afternoons, we focus on the foundation subjects such as Science, PSHE, Art, DT, PE and Geography/History. We also have time in our soft play, sensory room and Library.

On Mondays, we have Woods for Learning. We have our weekly PE lessons on a Friday afternoon and our 'Community Time' sessions on a Wednesday.

If you have any questions or would like to contact us in class, our email address is:
