Brooklands School

Welcome

Welcome to Brooklands School. We are a primary, split site, Surrey County Council community day special school. Our Wray Park site is for children with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, including children with autism. Our Alexander Road site is for pupils with Complex Social Communication Needs (CSCN).

Children are admitted from 3 years of age and may continue their education here until the age of 11. We currently have 173 pupils on roll. Children coming into the Nursery don’t usually have an EHCP. For these children there is a period of assessment. After which the school will work with parents to initiate the EHCP process. Children coming to the school from Reception to Year 6 will have an EHCP.

Both Brooklands sites stand in their own grounds in quiet residential areas and are all on one level, this helps to ensure safety and accessibility for all pupils. At Wray Park we have a large hall with fitted PE apparatus, a soft play room, swing room and high quality indoor swimming and hydrotherapy pools. Alexander Road outdoor areas are still developing but inside it has a large hall, a two story soft play and sensory room.

At Brooklands everything we do is for our incredible pupils and their families. We aim for every day to be filled with exciting learning opportunities through the delivery of an inspiring curriculum that is purpose driven, encourages a sense of belonging in the local community and enables our pupils to be all they can be.
